- Assist in the care of patients under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Provide primary patient care such as bathing, feeding, and dressing.
- Take vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, patients' families, and the personnel of the agency.
- Posses a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation of patient care.
- Ability to provide care for patients with special needs or behavioral health concerns and be able to self-adjust to diverse personalities, and use tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, their families, and visitors.
- Must have completed a home health aide training program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- (If CNA) Completion of a nursing assistant training program.
- (If CNA)Current certification as a nursing assistant.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Experience providing Home Health.
